Update: If you are unable to download the new extension from the notification on the PMOG website or Mozilla’s Add-ons page, please use this link.
Greetings, PMOG Players,
We’d like to take this opportunity to present you with version .5 of the PMOG Toolbar.

A few of version .5's new overlays
Version .5 of the PMOG Toolbar requires Firefox 3. So, if you’re still using Firefox 2, download Firefox 3 now!
It has been well over a month since our last release, and there have literally been hundreds of changes to our code base since then. Let me start by saying, this extension is a complete overhaul of the PMOG toolbar both visually and under-the-hood. However, there have been no major changes made to gameplay at this time. While this version of the extension is larger than the last, the code the extension uses is far more streamlined, and with the integration of XUL, the PMOG toolbar is smarter and faster than ever before.
We know that with any major change there are going to be unforeseen consequences. Therefore, we encourage you to post any bugs you come across in the Misadventures Forum, or you may email them to bugs at pmog dot com. Lastly, know that we are planning a more frequent release schedule now that we have transitioned over to XUL. So, don’t fret too much if something isn’t working quite as you expect it to; there will be plenty of changes and fixes in the coming weeks.
All that being said, here is a run down of some of the bug fixes and improvements with this release, which includes version .5 of the toolbar and 1.0.3 of the web application:
- A complete visual refresh of the PMOG toolbar
- The “Classic” skin no longer has a wood grain background, instead, it has an eye-friendly black backdrop
- XUL overlays that no longer rely on embedded HTML for PMOG to work (This means lightposts on Flash pages!)
- The PMOG toolbar now tells you how many St. Nicks are remaining on your profile

The new St. Nicks remaining notification
- Profiles now update with new information every 180 minutes
- A profile full of mines no longer takes a mine from a player
- An armor recharging exploit has been addressed
- Player ratings are now visually updating in sync with the rest of the profile (see above)
- Threads no longer randomly bump themselves
- Creating a lightpost from the edit lightpost page no longer results in a 500 error
- A player’s gender no longer resets to male after editing profile
- Portal taken text is no longer grammatically flawed
- Can now crate/mine via web to a private profile
- Profiles now show how many people have rated a player

The new ratings count
- The “auto-complete” feature on tagging has been disabled
- The messaging page now has a reverse character counter for messaging
- Badges should, once again, be issued more accurately
Last but not least, a huge thanks to salmonticker, pixielo, and the Stewards for helping us test this version of the extension. If you have any specific feedback for us, please email GameLayers at feedback at pmog dot com. Conversely, if you need any assistance or have any questions regarding this new version of the PMOG toolbar please email help at pmog dot com.
Thanks again for playing PMOG!
Yours,
Joe Wagner

It seems that on Mac OS X, the toolbar background is now a solid slate-gray (or other dark shade), making all text (numbers, labels, etc.) very difficult to read.

A few users have reported this theme working well for them on Windows Vista (when they were having like-issues on with the default theme)
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/8218
Additionally, please try both the “Plain” and “Classic” theme to see if either works.
